Julyardi Community Hub

The Julyardi Community Precinct is proposed for 33-45 Colebatch Way in South Hedland, and has excellent proximity to a number of key existing infrastructure, including the South Hedland Shopping Centre, South Hedland Town Square, Hedland Health Campus, The Aquatic Centre and Library.

The 1.8 hectare site is envisioned to have a number of supporting uses, including Apartments / Assisted Living Units, an Infant Health / Parenting Centre, Childcare and Playscape.

Stage One will include the Mawadi (Entry Hub), Ngaru (Hedland House) for children seeking respite from difficult domestic situations, Jilypathirti (multi-purpose rooms), Mirnukara Maya, a live-in space for Aboriginal students and Jumparrara (infant health / parenting centre) The facilities are arranged around a central landscaped courtyard, including Wangkanjarri - a space for talking together, Mayaka (pharmacy gardens) and informal entertainment spaces.
